Kyle Ismaac is the latest star to be substituted in the Premier League, after being taken off during the 6th minute of his side's match against Manchester United.
The former Chelsea and Crystal Palace player was replaced by fellow midfielder, Wes Morgan, as Leicester City looked to secure all three points from their encounter with the Red Devils. Despite the substitution, Ismaac continued to play well for the rest of the game, but it ultimately proved too little too late as Leicester were unable to secure victory.
After the match, Ismaac reflected on the impact that the substitute role had on his performance, saying: "I'm not sure what happened, I just didn't feel myself out there. It was a tough day for me."
However, Ismaac also acknowledged the importance of the substitute role in modern football, stating: "It's a big responsibility to take on when you're subbed out. You have to stay positive and keep playing your best until the end of the game."
Despite the setback, Ismaac remained optimistic about the future, saying: "We've got another game next week and we'll try to put this behind us and move forward. We know what we need to do to get back into the top four."
As for the future of the team, Ismaac admitted that he would like to continue playing for Leicester City, saying: "I love playing here and I want to stay at the club. But we'll see how things go and if they offer me something better."
